About Me

Susan Harrison MA, MA (Psychotherapy), UKCP Registered Psychotherapist

Welcome to my website. I am a professionally registered psychotherapist working, primarily, from the psychosynthesis perspective. I believe each of us has untapped resources, and I find it a privilege to work alongside others, helping to identify and remove the blocks to realising their potential.

My training was at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London. I completed both the Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling and the Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy, followed by the MA in Psychotherapy.

Having established my practice working with individuals, I have since undertaken additional training in Couple Therapy with Tavistock Relationships.

I continue studying and attending courses to keep up to date with current research in my field. Advances in neuroscience are extending the possibilities within psychotherapy work in exciting ways, and I also have an interest in Somatic Experiencing, a body therapy developed by Peter Levine.

Alongside my training at the Institute, I continued to work in education. I have a background in philosophy, literature and language.

I abide by the code of ethics of the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy), and I am also a member of the APP (Association of Psychospiritual Practitioners).
